My first grader and my third grader are learning multiplication. My third grader is a little more ahead of my first grader but that is to be expected. Since Don is away in Beautiful Sunny Miami on business there is no one here to help the kids with their math homework. Frightening. I am trying my best. I am living, breathing and eating multiplication and word problems. For example:

First grade Math
Mommy was at the computer and had 2 Mallomar cookies. She then got up and went to the kitchen 2 more times and got 2 more cookies each time. How many Mallomar cookies did (piggy) Mommy have?

Someone's mother, who shall remain nameless, had 6 Mallomar cookies. Each cookie had 60 calories. How many useless, unecessary calories did this mother inhale?
