The Fairfield dining scene has been booming for the past few years. Where many towns are dormant after the sun sets, it is not unusual to find people milling around, chatting, laughing, and of course dining behind the dimly light restaurant windows... Afterwards they empty out into the streets, taking leisurely strolls to walk off their meals, or head off to one of the town's many ice cream or fro-yo shops for an after dinner treat.
In recognizing how much talent and great food there is within the community, TownVibe and Fairfield Magazine have decided to celebrate the many and varied cuisines in town by organizing the Taste of Fairfield.
Last year, as a contributor, I had the privilege of attending Fairfield Magazine's 10th Anniversary celebration. The publication joined forces with The Fairfield Public Library for a mini tasting event, which proved to be a success that they decided to expand on the idea.
This year’s Taste of Fairfield will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 1pm to 5pm, at the Delamar Hotel in Southport.
