Town & Country broke the news yesterday. One of the world's most celebrated summertime hotels, which is practically in my backyard, and a popular destination among many of my New England and New York area friends is Relais & Chateau's Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. I have yet to get there despite its proximity to my own home. But this is the year. I will make it happen! It will be my 50th Birthday present to myself.

It's not that the hotel itself isn't magnificent enough, but this summer, they're introducing their Champagne Garden in collaboration with Veuve Cliquot! The Secret Garden, a lounge open to both guests and locals will feature Veuve Clicquot champagnes including Rich the latest brand under the celebrated orange label, which is designed to be poured over ice - my favorite way to enjoy it.

As we enjoy our chilled Champagne, over ice, we can enjoy fancy versions of summer classics—like a lobster roll with grinnell caviar and a Rhode Island wiener dog dressed up with meat sauce—alongside champagne cocktails.
