Devotedly Ever...

Yes, that's Thornton Wilder. Yes, that's an inscription to my grandmother, La Jolie Grandmere, whom I've written about here often in the pages of The Entertaining House. They became dear friends after meeting one evening at the Ritz-Carlton in Cannes, France around 1967.

A favorite author and a favorite person... two great inspirations...

I'm picking back off where I left off.
The time is right.
The time is now.
It's a grand task and I am ready.

And isn't that cool?
"Devotedly ever"

And it was he who first called her La Jolie Grandmere after learning of my birth!

This is one small piece of the task... are you curious?

It's going to be a fabulous Wednesday!

XOXO
