One foggy morning in Southport Harbor, Connecticut

Oh my goodness... I'm in heaven and have fallen in love all over again!
My daughter got her first "real" camera, a Canon DSLR on Tuesday as a graduation present. I got my first "real" camera, also a Canon when I was the same age. If we were to track back, my AE-1 Program was probably the original "Rebel!" I got my camera and was instantly hooked. To this day I look back on some of those early photos and see promise and natural talent. That camera came everywhere with me, even to Paris as recently as 1997. About 7 years ago I was given one of the earliest Canon DSLR cameras as a gift.  After many years of being used on the beach, in inclement weather, and just about everywhere I went, the camera started to show serious signs of wear and tear, but still, she still traveled extensively with me. Yesterday I took my daughter out on her first photo shoot and taught her how to look at things a little bit differently. I held the camera in my hand... I could not help myself. I took a couple of shots. That's when I fell and love and went to heaven. And bought myself a brand new camera! Oh my goodness!
I am
in
L-O-V-E!!
LOVE
LOVE
LOVE!

Our photography session was cut short today due to the rain that started to fall...
We'll be back out tomorrow. Perhaps we'll shoot in town, or at the beach... or maybe I'll stalk celebrity...
Rob Reiner, Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton are in my sweet idyllic, quintessential, New England coastal town shooting a movie. Rumor has it Susan Sarandon is here too...
Can you say Paparazzi??!!!

Immediately after I shot this photograph someone kindly asked me to move. I was standing in the middle of the set. "I can't believe you wouldn't want me on your set!" I teased. "Well, not with the camera around your neck," the crew tech person replied." To which I quickly told him I'd be happy to remove the camera.
My daughter, mortified (as she is with everything I do and say these days) abruptly took off in the opposite direction!

XOXO,
Jessica
