It's brisk out there... scratch that, it's downright freezing!
I don't want to leave my house... I may not... I may just stay inside and stay in my pink and green Lilly flannels! Why should I get dressed? I have everything I want and need right at my fingertips!
I have everything I need for my morning coffee... I'll take it in the family room by the fire, with the news on the television...
And when I'm done with the paper, perhaps I can luxuriate in my bed with a good book. I'm reading the Paris Wife... it's to die for! I'm wondering just how long my kids will leave me alone... why I might even drift off for a short siesta. Wouldn't that be lovely?
I'll wake up and I might be hungry... It's a popcorn kind of a day... I'll find a good movie that the kids and I can all watch together. We'll snuggle up together on the couch, under piles of blankets....I'll add another log to the fire...
A perfect day could not be more perfect without a long hot soak. My bathtub is my most favorite place to read! Perhaps I'll pour myself a nice bold red wine to sip while I soak...
But there's reality and it must be faced. Piles of laundry awaiting my attention... linens, clothes, uniforms... But still I needn't get out of my flannels to tend to this... and it can be done in between naps and books and movies!
And I must plan and make some family meals this week... And still, I do not need to get out of my pajamas for this either! It's entirely possible, I believe, to have a completely relaxing and a completely productive day!
20 years ago today we lost a beloved icon. Audrey Hepburn lost her battle with cancer. We lost an icon, a talented actress, an ambassadress (Save the Children) to children world-wide. She would have been just 83 had she been alive today... so we should absolutely celebrate her life and her magnificent work... What shall we watch? Breakfast at Tiffany's? Funny Face? Sabrina? Perhps a movie marathon, a special tribute to one of our favorite actresses of all time!
