There could be worse things... right?
The kids had a lot to remember to bring to school this morning. So at 8:00 I sent them into the garage to get their back packs, sports bags, etc... That's when we noticed that the car was locked. And, that inside the locked car were my keys! (We had gone to Christopher's soccer game yesterday and even though I was not driving I grabbed my keys so I could lock up behind me.) I brought my entire bag because I had snacks for the kids, as well as juices and a Coke Zero for myself. And my Vogue. And my Williams-Sonoma catalogue with every page dog-eared! And a magazine that I swiped from some doctor's office.
I remember leaving my bag in the car overnight. Thought nothing of it. Do it all the time
But I needed it this morning
I texted Daddy. He called me back. Soonest he could be home was 11:30. So I called a friend who was able to bring my kiddos along. (The kids go to school in another town so we do not have busing.)
And I was stuck at home with nowhere to go.
With the laundry.
And the cleaning.
And the vacuuming.
And my coffee.
And my laptop.
And some home made banana bread.
And my clam shells from Newport.
And my Mod Podge.
And some gold paint.
I'm making soap dishes.
I'm turning my bathroom in to an Escape. (Will post pictures when all done.)
And it sure is peaceful.
And I could think of worse places to be trapped.
And did I mention the kids are all at school?
