Celebrate the day!

It's Wednesday! The week is already half over, hooray!
While our hearts are with Boston, we must move on as we did after The Oklahoma City Bombings and as we did after 9/11. We are resilient. We are strong. We are brave. We mustn't let the act of cowards paralyze us, forcing us to live our lives in fear. We must embrace our freedom and we must pick ourselves up and move on... for ourselves... for our peers... for our children... for those who depend on us and need us.

So let's listen closely to the birds as they sing their melodious tunes... Let's look closely and the tiny buds that are about to burst forth with bright yellows and pinks and let's notice that the grass is that much greener...If you live near the ocean take a drive by it, better yet - take a walk along her shores and take off your shoes and bury your toes in the sand! If you live out in the country take a scenic detour on your way home from work. Take a midday walk in the sun... Take your children out for ice cream... go fly a kite... do whatever it is that makes you happy - that makes you appreciate our beautiful country and all the wonderful things she has to offer. Let's celebrate the warm days soon to come. Let's celebrate the middle of the week. Let's celebrate an accomplishment. Let's celebrate nothing at all...

I have a full day ahead with meetings and phone calls and a 7 year old home on Spring break. I will make today the perfect mix of business and pleasure. I have obligations and responsibilities and I cannot turn my back on them. I have an adorable and loving 7 year old, and I cannot turn my back on him either!

What will you do to celebrate today?

XOXO,

Jessica
