10 Ideas for Repurposing Pumpkins for the Thanksgiving Table

If your pumpkins haven't been carved or nibbled on by tiny critters fueling up for the long winter ahead, they're likely still in great shape and have some life in them yet. I'm always hesitant to get rid of them when Halloween has come and gone. To be honest I don't love the traditional orange pumpkins so often associate with Halloween and Jack-o-lanterns. The deeper shades of orange, the white, the green, the Fairytale pumpkins I do adore and those transition beautifully through to Thanksgiving. I have a few traditional pumpkins that we'll be painting in the next few days, giving them new life, to give our holiday decor a little bit of glamour, naturally. Below are images that I've compiled for you that suit a myriad of styles. Some are casual while others are more formal. Some are for smaller settings while others are for larger gatherings.

Whatever your style and situation, there's likely some inspiration for you! Keep in mind, as you set your table that there's enough room to pass the food. Will you be placing your food directly on the table or will you serve buffet style? You'll want to arrange your vignette so that views across aren't obstructed either - Let us not forget that this holiday is about thanks, food, family and friends and those mustn't be obstructed by your centerpieces!
