What's old can certainly be new again, but what's classic, is always classic. This is the concept behind Lattice House, a local brand offering a curated selection of new and classic pieces for the home and garden. One will find everything from elegant barware and reinvented artwork to men's accessories and unique gifts for sailing enthusiasts, equestrians and dog lovers of all kinds.

I first discovered Lattice House at PopShop Market this summer and was delighted when my mother treated me to two gifts that hold a special place in my home: a royal blue melamine tray with white anchors and a wood box with a brass mermaid on top. Throughout the Summer, Lattice House continued to show at local events throughout Fairfield County.  I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Christopher Philip and was thrilled to learn about his exciting plans to take over a unique retail location in the heart of downtown Southport just in time for the Holiday Season.

A self-described 1930s Anglophile, Christopher was raised in Southport, and is inspired by pieces that remain classic and cool in today's contemporary setting.  The wonderful and varied Lattice House offerings are the result of his impeccable taste and attention to detail. Certain items, like great barware he says, "Just always looks right!" Lattice House has a wonderful selection of curated pieces that are both new and vintage that will complement any bar area in any setting.

Christopher's keen eye, sense of style and sensibility have enabled him to search for and locate unique one of a kind items that people are drawn to, suited to a myriad of individual styles.

Although the concept of the pop up shop is still a novelty to many, it is becoming increasingly popular. Vendors are able to attract larger audiences by varying their venues. This also allows them greater customer interaction, marketing services, and qualified crowds. On the flip side, buyers love the opportunity to treasure hunt while shopping at unique, outdoor locations.  These specialized "shops" offer a sense of exclusivity in that they have access to brands that don't have traditional brick-and-mortar locations. The Holiday Pop Up at Southport will utilize the Lattice House storefront shop as its home for the holidays to host other vendors.
