Also referred to as the Glove, Stacked and Block heel, this chunkier shoe might take some adjusting to. While this style has only recently started to kick up a storm here in the States, it has been all the rage throughout Europe - despite the fact that Vogue Spain referred to it as the Ugly heel! These may be the last thing you'd imagine to see on the runway, the streets of New York, Milan, Paris, London or any chic city, but designers, models and fashionistas have quickly embraced this retro style shoe. Whatever you prefer to call them, they offer a stylish and sensible way to step up your style. As someone who's just barely 5'3" (I swear I used to be taller) who prefers to wear a heel on almost a daily basis and hates the instability (not to mention the discomfort) of a pump, I welcome this solid, stable retro-style shoe and as you scroll down I'm sure you will as well. From DSW to Nordstrom's, they're available at every price point. From J. Crew to Tory Burch to Chanel and every designer in between, this 1960's influence is becoming mainstream again today.
