There's good news for those of you who, like me, are a bit overly obsessed with your fitness-tracking bracelets. I have an old school Jawbone Up bracelet that I wear religiously. I love that it can track my steps, miles, activity levels, sleep, and now that I've finally figured out how to adjust it for multiple sports, calories burned. My health is important to me and I try to work out regularly - 5-6 times a week. Though due to children, work and travel, sometimes this simply isn't possible. When this is the case, I do what I can to get up and moving. I have my goals. When I don't meet them I don't beat myself up, but when I surpass them, I sure do feel good!

Now that these activity trackers have been on the market a while many improvements and advancements have been made. I still have to plug mine into my phone to see my results, but newer ones sync up automatically via bluetooth. Mine isn't waterproof, but the newer models are. One of the greatest issues I have is that my activity tracker isn't so pretty. While it's perfectly fine when worn during the day, dressed casually, but when I need to be more dressed up, whether meeting with clients, going out to dinner or even when headed out to a cocktail party, my ugly bracelet needs to come off even when there are still many more steps that need to be tracked! (I did mention that I was slightly obsessed.)

In my search for an upgrade, I want something that's effective, functional and just as importantly, that looks good and can be worn with more than yoga pants or jeans.

It is perhaps Tory Burch who first cleverly created the metal hinged bracelet as a cover for the not so elegant Fitbit. Modern, sleek and elegant this bracelet is perfect for those who already have a Fitbit tracker and want to dress it up some.

She has more recently added another option to her line. The double-wrap leather bracelet is another elegant option, reminiscent to the iconic Hermés double wrap strap. For more information on these two items visit www.toryburch.com. (Also available at Neiman Marcus.)

Modern meets tradition. Most recently came the announcement of a merger made in technology heaven. The iconic apple and Hermés brands have come together to offer what may be la creme de la creme for those who want it all - technology, fitness tracking and elegance. I was no fan of the apple watch when it first came on the market. Funny how a simple leather watch strap can change all that. The hardest decision here, which color? Double or single single strap?  Unfortunately the iconic orange color is not an option at the moment, but perhaps the Bleu Jean? The watch will be available for purchase in October at select apple locations. For more visit www.apple.com/watches
