Maps are lovely and beautiful and therefore make for perfect wall art. Older, rarer maps bring us to times and places we've never known and have only heard about. Modern maps often evoke memories of vacations much enjoyed and serve as nostalgic symbols or they can cause us to pause for a moment and daydream about all those magical places we hope to travel to one day. I love maps as wall art. They can be an inexpensive way to decorate and fill up empty wall space which is perfect for the younger set just setting out, while rarer, vintage maps can positively accentuate the more established home filled with antiques and collectibles.
